(BURSTON AND SHIMPLING, BACK LANE)
(PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2019

Norfolk County Council propose to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit motor vehicles from proceeding along Back Lane Byway (Burston and Shimpling BOAT 36) from its junction with the C205 Burston Road generally north-eastwards to its junction with the U76110 Moor Road.
A copy of the Order, a Statement of Reasons for making the Order and a plan, may be inspected at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 2DH and at the offices of South Norfolk District Council, South Norfolk House, Cygnet Court, Long Stratton, Norfolk, NR15 2XE during normal office hours.
Any objections and representations relating to the Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence for these proposals must be received at the office of nplaw, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of Mrs Simmons by 30th April 2019. Below is a proposal and we would like to know any views you have about these
The following information applies to the villages on the Simonds service 1 between Diss and Long Stratton, although may be of interest to all passengers. The current timetable can be found here
Due to low passenger numbers there may not be the same level of service for Lower Tasburgh and the Flordon Turn
Mondays to Saturdays inclusive

Journeys into Norwich from the villages
We are proposing to procure contracts that can provide passenger journeys into Norwich that arrive in the City centre between 0810 and 0840 and 1015 and 1115.
The return journeys would leave the city centre between 1240 and 1340
This would allow between 2 hours 30 minutes and 3 hours 15 minutes in Norwich
There will be further departures from Norwich between 1610 and 1630 and 1720 and 1740
Journeys may be direct, or via a connection at Long Stratton

Journeys into Diss from the villages
We are proposing to procure contracts that can provide passenger journeys into Diss that arrive in the centre
between 0930 and 1130
The return journeys will be departing Diss between 1100 and 1330
This would allow between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours 10 minutes in Diss

Journeys into Long Stratton from the villages
We are proposing to procure contracts that can provide passenger journeys into Long Stratton that arrive
between 0930 and 1130
This would allow between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours 10 minutes in Long Stratton
